Can you ever do too little class work and fail as a result?

And when I say class work I mean homework.

If you study your butt off but hand in no homework to the teacher can you fail?

Is there a minimum homework requirement that a VCE student must satisfy so that he/she does not fail (i.e. passes)?

So in VCE you just either get a really low or a really high mark or somewhere in between, right (unless you get less than 80% attendance)? Is that right?

Also, does anybody know how many VCE students fail each year because of the 80% attendance requirement? I hear that this happens a lot especially in public schools or is this just fear mongering? Anybody know?

I don't think you can be 'failed' for not handing in homework.

Tell that to my spesh teacher, you'll fail unless every question from the syllabus is done, with full working.

I didn't attend 80% and I had a teacher ring my parents because I didn't do any homework. Your school won't want to fail you because it brings down their average scores etc, so so long as you pass your SACs you'll be fine

Generally if you're scoring high within the SACs the teachers should recognise that you're doing your own thing and it's working, hence the good scores.

It should be mentioned however that homework almost always compliments the work/topic related to the course and is usually worth completing.
