Would this work?

Alright so hypothetically, there is an interrogation room with a mirror hanging on one wall. The opposite wall is made from two-way mirror. If you're inside the room, the two-way mirror looks like a regular mirror - you see your reflection in it - and if you're a detective in the adjacent room, the two-way mirror acts like a window due to the difference in lighting conditions in the two rooms.

If you were in the (dark) detective's room, what would you see in the mirror hanging on the wall? Would it be the reflection of the reflection on the two-way mirrored wall, or due to the fact that the silvering is only partial, would that "image" not be strong enough to be reflected again?

(If you're wondering, this is something I want to know for an art project, not some conundrum I've made up for fun...)

I think what happens is that the light that goes into the mirror can only be light from the interrogation room, so the image reflected back would show only what can be seen in the interrogation room, i.e not show what's going on past the detective's wall. Of course this depends on the brightness of both rooms, but that's what would happen in an ideal situation. Actually that would be really weird, staring at a mirror and not seeing your reflection :P

Interesting, some people (IRC) seemed pretty sure that it would reflect. Does anyone know where I could get my hands on some (cheap) two-way mirror so I can check it out myself? Or even better...is there any way of making it?
I've already tried with glass but it's just not reflective enough, even when the lighting conditions are right (like when you're in a brightly lit room and it's dark outside, and you can see your reflection but not what's outside).
Would be pretty cool if I could get this to work!
