both involved in comprehension of speech (more so in wernikes)
damage to both causes aphasia
both only in the left hemisphere of their respective lobes

Similarities:

- Both involved in verbal functioning
-Both Located in the Left cerebral hemisphere
- Both are areas of association cortex

Differences:

-Broca's area involved in the production of fluent speech, where wernicke's area is involved in speaking in a meaningful way.

-Wernicke's area has a role in understanding the sounds we perceive as human speech or simply speech comprehension, where Broca's area does not.

Broca's area is involved with understanding grammatical structure, whereas wernicke's area is not.

And others i guess, but i cbf.

broca's = production of clear and articulate speech through it's control of the muscles associated with speech. YOU CAN SPEAK FLUENTLY AND NORMALLY!!
wernicke's= comprehension of meaningful speech; understanding meaningful speech and PRODUCING MEANINGFUL SPEECH!
