Manga Detailed Study

Hey guys, as part of my detailed study (put off pretty late, I know), I selected manga/anime out a small list of other bland general topics to discuss.

What are some interesting points I can discuss about this?

I've thought about discussing stuff like, success of manga internationally, the seinen subgenre, hentai/ero manga/doujinshi, influence on otaku.

But I'm not really sure what other strong points I could use, or even how this stuff could flow together. What do you reckon?

I researched an alternative topic, Japanese services. 

And i'd thought I'd cover things such as Daiso (100 yen store), Host Clubs, Manga Kissaten (and the growing cafe refugee issue); would a more unique topic such as this fare better?

well imo everyone does manga so i think the japanese services is a better topic but you could pick one out of those and go in pretty good depth. I've heard you can get a better mark by having a good/ unique topic.

百円store is a pretty good topic i reacon : )
maybe you can talk about what they sell, the popularity of these stores and even brief explanation about how they came about
