when/how do you accept your course?

Hey im going to america these holidays and im gonna get back like 2 days after the offers have been made. At the Melbourne uni open day they said i just needed somebody to email me something then i could accept online but what happens at monash? like do i need a proxy to actually go to monash and set my course up? I guess one of my main questions is the process of accepting the course and then selecting subjects and all that two completely different things? and what am i gonna need a proxy for?

If you get back 2 days after offers come out you will be back in time to complete enrolment normally. The uni mails a whole bunch of stuff to you in that week and you physically go there to enrol the week after.

I don't understand the proxy thing though

You appoint a proxy when you won't be here yourself in time to accept your uni offer. Your proxy basically accepts the offer for you - I did this for a friend, she just had to let VTAC (I think) know that I was gonna be her proxy and yeah.

But like caramel said if you're gonna be back 2 days after offers come out then you don't need to worry about that.

I sent my Dad as my proxy 4 my formal enrollment (v. v. risky business ...my Dad is none 2 reliable).

U fill out 2 copies of a proxy form and away u go.
4get how and where I got the form, but ninwa's right... if u're gonna b bak by then there's no need 2 have a proxy.

Just for you guys I pulled out my VTAC offer letter.
Offers came out on Monday 14th January
My enrolment was Wednesday 23rd, 10-12am. I remember I was towards the end of the enrolment period, enrolment going from monday-thursday is ringing a bell but I have no evidence to support this.

Again I do not understand the proxy system because I have not dealt with it, is there some way where you can set one up just in case? (clueless woo)

Last year, enrolment was 21st - 24th Jan, during the week after offers came out.
