does anyone have a good definition for conditioned emotional responses, besides "an emotional response that has been conditioned"?

one book is telling me it's because of the autonomic NS, but others say it's the sympathetic NS.
so confused!

thanks.

I'm pretty (by pretty I mean very) sure it is the autonomic.

i've learnt it as: a classically conditioned emotional reaction to a stimulus which manifests itself through the ANS.

could it also be an emotional reaction that occurs when the ANS produces a response to a stimulus it did not normally produce

The sympathetic nervous system is a branch of the autonomic nervous system. Still say ANS though.

khalil, that's correct because learning means that there is a change of behaviour.
