What's everyones plan of attack on Thurs?

Just wondering what everyone's ' plan of attack' is on exam day with reading time and managing their time during the rest of the time.

My plan is:

READING TIME
1: 2 minutes skim read exam
2: 5 minutes multiple choice
3: 5 minutes short answer (read last)

EXAM
* 45 minutes Short Answer
* 35 minutes Multiple Choice
* 10 minutes read over

lol psych exams are rediculous for time... for the amount of questions you have so much time to check.. does anyone else finish fast? i finished the mid year in 40 minutes and checked it for the remainder.I guess my plan of attack will be do the short answer, then multiple choice, check SA, then check multiple choice and keep going again untill times up.

45 minutes read over it 3 times + look around to see how others are going

are you kidding?
do the entire multiple choice section in reading time. then as soon as writing time comes, go and mark down all your answers
this leaves you ~85 minutes to do short answer.

reading time is so perfect for MC< you can do the entire thing.

yeah but i reckon u know my short term memory duration would have died out by then, retain 44 answers for multiple choice for 15 minutes, my chunking and maintenance rehearsal isnt that good

I don't actually have a plan, I always just do whatever is required on the exam day, lol.

same here i go in and do whatever feels right

generally i do the m/c in reading time and complete the sheet in like 5 - 10 minutes (its my only m/c exam, i have to savour its simplicity!) and end up taking about 25 - 35 minutes for short answer. then check and recheck....

except when i go back over it i freak out and think i've done stuff wrong and change it when i dont need to (clearly im crazy)

I always find it good to do the memory multiple choice, and then the memory short answer, as I'm still in the mindframe for that, then learning multi, learning SA then research methods.

And yes, I find I always finish quite quickly, but thats good for checking over time

How can everybody claim that they can finish the entire short answer section (research investigation included) in under 30 minutes?

I personally am going to spend 30 minutes on MC and 1 hour on SA. Within this time frame i will be reading over each answer as i complete it. I think it's stupid that people finish over 30 minutes early. You've only got one shot at the exam so why not utilise every second by making your answers perfect WHEN you are actually completing them. It seems impractical to complete the exam in 40 minutes and the go back over it and alter your answers.

But, that's just me. Everybody is entitled to their own planned strategy.

You should always go over them at the end though, because there are some things you only pick on later. Of course I aim to make my answers perfect the first time, but checking over them just makes sure!

agreed with melaniej, although first instincts on how to answer questions are good but what if one of the later questions improves your ability to answer an earlier question, just a thought although you probably would have read it all in the reading time. In the psychology exam you really do get enough time to do the exam twice so  i dunno any strategy works cause you'd probably get enough time to read over ur answers like 4 times

i will just go through it like normal, start to finish. 

even at moderate pace, i usually finish psychology exams with a good half hour to spare, so time shouldnt really be a concern...

I hate reading time because if I come across a question I think I might not know, I freak out and that messes up everything else (happened with Biology).
