Enter Requirement?

Hey all,

I was looking for the enter requirements for optometry on the vtac course guide and it didnt have a figure for the requirement?
It said "RC"..what does that mean?

Also could someone clarify the difference between a course in orthoptics and a course in optometry?
Looking at both the courses the major studies are:
Orthoptics: Human sciences, Ocular pathology, Optics, Orthoptics, Vision sciences.
Optometry:  Health sciences, Optics, Optometry, Vision sciences

RC means a range of criteria, which might mean an interview, selection examination such as the UMAT

As per the difference between ortjoptics and optometry, i'd say the difference would be between the actual qualification you get. They both allow to do the same thing once you graduate, the difference is that the latrobe orthoptics course is a health science bachelor degree with a masters, whereas the optometry degree is a specialised undergrad degree

The latrobe course is a bit vague on VTAC though, it doesn't really explain what your qualification exactly gives you

noob question, so does that mean those factors are more important than what enter you get? :S ..im so confused

Not necessarily, the weighting of each criteria is dependent on the institution, in med selection, each uni weights the criteria differently, so you might have to contact them

Typically ENTER is a major selection factor
