Im 18, citizen, but i haven't enrolled yet, when i go to AEC website, they said enrolment is closed, so will i get penalties or fines?

I heard if you don't enrol, they actually don't chase you up. If you DO enrol, and don't vote, then they can and do chase you up.

Not sure about this, this was just from some Melbourne University spam I got from students.

I heard that if you don't enrol and you choose to enrol at say 22, they will fine you all the way to back to the election when you were 18 (for example) but I don't really think that is the case to be honest. (I heard it off a pretty unreliable source lol)
