BA22, for those biomed + science students who are aiming for post grad medicine, i thought the competetion would only be internal (as in only ppl from melbourne uni can get in). This is because i heard melbourne uni doesnt recognise biomedical subjects from other institutions (like monash etc)???  Need clarification if i am wrong.

I'm pretty sure that they'll let in graduates from other institutions who have done similarly appropriate subjects in their degree, because otherwise they lose out on getting the all the best potential applicants for their course

HMM, that also means that if i do science----> biomedical subjects that relate to medicine i can try out for other unis as well like monash or deakin or even interstate for post grad medicine.

Yeh definently!

Always apply to as many universities as possible, there is no penalty for doing so and if you're really keen to do medicine, so universities like University of Newcastle will accept undergraduate transfers

Also just confirming what i said before

Students from other degrees or universities will need to ensure that they include the prerequisite subjects in their degree. Please contact us if you need further advice on this.
