Annoying thing...

Ok i have this problem on my PC. It has happened very recently.

I click on My Computer and it a window pops up with all the harddrives, drives, folders etc.

when i click on my USB, a new window pops up with the contents of the files.

It also happened to my local drives but I just fixed that.

The popping up window thing is really annoying for the USB. Is there any way to fix this???

It's possibly an autoplay setting gone wrong. I'm not completely sure I understand the "clicking on my computer and everything pops up" statement.

Well, I don't run Windows, so my advice might not be correct. What you need to do is edit the settings for Windows Explorer and uncheck anything relating to opening new windows to browse. It might also be called 'spacial browsing', which was how things worked in Windows 95 (and Gnome circa 2.18.)

uncheck that and you should be fine.

There's no unchecking box. It has to be either open in the same window or open in a new window!!
