H1 = HD. (higher grade (or something) honours))
You mean:
H1 = First class honours =
HD = High Distinction

i read up on commerce/law and thought it was pretty cool too! the monash lady said you need a 70 average but apparently thats hard to get in uni. i'm probably going to jump into commerce/science and then work out which of the two sides i like. if its commerce, ill jump into commerce/law, otherwise i'll try to transfer to pharmacy. two extreme ends i know  :P

i'd say the study of the law is pretty far from the study of commerce.

H1, H2A, H2B, H3, etc are grades given for students completing honours years, honours degrees and degrees with honours. (Does that answer your question?)

HD,D,C,P and N are grades given for other students :P

This of course is from the VU grading system.
Hope that helps ^_^

H2B    Second Class Honours, Lower 60%-69%
H3     Third Class Honours 50%-59%
