Short Term Work

Hey, I'm looking for work for like the next two months January to February. Does anyone know what type of work is suitable for such a short term? I've considered tutoring but I've decided against that for now. So any ideas or suggestions with how to earn a few bucks during such a short time? Besides for that I'm pretty much open to anything (besides for whoring myself out...lol)

Probably should've started looking before your exams - most of the Christmas/NY positions will have already been filled by now.

(and companies would be looking to dump some casuals from then too)

I figured that...any supermarket/department/store is crossed off the list. Maybe I could do some temporary work somewhere...

Look on careerone or SEEK.

Yeah, the market's pretty good - even in these tough economic times.

And you would know because...
(I'm watching you excally)

In all seriousness, you can't be a christmas casual any more but there should be some jobs around where they just want you for january (I remember seeing one about helping to pack school books for one of those textbook distributors). You also have hope due to people going away on holiday, but I would only try the smaller retail places that do in-store applications, jumping through the hoops of a big retail chain won't get you a job to actively work during those months (I started searching in january, commenced employment at safeway on feb 16 after a few weeks of group interview store interview etc)

Do you want to just work for the two months or do you want continued employment into uni? Uni has a much lower workload than school its quite slack :P, I did 18 hours a week during second semester and still got straight HDs so yeh
