No sympathy here. After all of Israel's war-crimes to humanity and their recent massacre, this is the least they could do - boycott Israel. I just became a big fan of Sony.

Israel would never deny entry to someone on the basis of what country they were from. I wish some Muslim countries including the UAE, would put politics aside for things like this.

Why should the tennis player be punished for
1) Being born and residing in a  certain country?
2) The actions of the military- actions beyond her power whether she supports them or not?

"Israel would never deny entry to someone on the basis of what country they were from."

They would. I knew a Malaysian who said his passport prevented him going to Israel [and there are countries Israel would be far less inclined to trust than Malaysia.]

on another note, how much for a large bag of troll food? :P

Malaysians cannot go to Israel because their country does not allow them to. There's no embassy. If however, they get the right documentation they can go. On the other hand, if you have an Israeli stamp on your passport you're denied entry into Malaysia.  Your friend's passport didn't allow him to go to Israel because of his OWN country.

Are you people insane? Israel are the #1 perpetrators of discriminating people because of where they come from. The chances of an ARAB visiting Israel are ZERO. My friend is Palestinian and the amount of shit he had o go through TO GET TO HIS OWN COUNTRY is ridiculous, and that's with an Australian passport.

To be frank, there are worse countries than Israel when it comes to freedom of movement (of the 'state enemy' class). Think Zimbabwe, Somalia, North Korea...

And, there are Arabs in Israel - what are you smoking?
