That's not funny. Thousands of people died so that you can say that, so the least you can do is have a little respect.

Same goes for people who laugh at funerals from ex posters but you dont single them out. Hes just telling the truth its not his fault that he laughs at them, its probably something more on the subconscious level not that he purposefully laughs at what happens.

As a muso that trumpet thing pisses me off. I don't really find it funny though. And even if I did I don't think that's an insult to the ANZACs themselves. My respect for them isn't determined by how well a piece of related music is composed.

Have you played trumpet before?

You don't need to play the instrument to know that a particular melody is unimaginative -_-
Yes I know it wasn't meant as a performance piece. I was merely stating that not liking the trumpet/bugle/whatever call itself does not necessarily mean disrespect to the veterans.

I don't know anything about brass music as you can obviously tell, so ignore my comments, okay?

Agree, like a public figure not wearing a poppy is widely considered a sin, even though that attitude engenders a complete indifference to the poppy's significance; people wear it unthinkingly, because they "have to".
[sorry, I know this is meant to be a funny thread :)]

It was originally written for a bugle, which has no valves.
