Melbourne Uni students will understand this.

Typical day waiting at Melbourne central for a tram. The tram comes and it's destination is Melbourne University. Great!

Whilst going up Swanston street the tram driver will say this tram is terminating at Queensberry Street. So as we get off the tram and wait, we see that the tram still has on it's banner "Melbourne University".

I'm sorry but this happens ALL the time and I'm fed up.

Stop off at the Queensbury hotel rather than going to uni :P

I catch the bus, but I've had this happen before and the walk isn't exactly short :(

Yeah I used to catch the tram from Lonsdale/Swanston Street but now I'm a "Faraday Marcher". - one of those students who "marches" up Faraday Street every morning.  :)

Yeah, that happens quite a lot, why is that? Though it doesn't really matter because the next tram's usually like a few seconds away anyway.

It usually happens to the trams that come from St. Kilda.  Like other public transport companies such as Metro and Ventura, they have strict guidelines to follow when it comes to punctuality and efficiency so if something has happened to a tram on one of the lines, then they'll get a call from Fleet Operations.

That's why you usually see the tram that terminates at Queensberry turn back and go back into the city.

On Wednesday in London we had major delays on the tube, as 3 people decided to end it all
