Does anybody do this for Biology? My school does it at the moment for Biology year 12...but I'm not exactly sure why. I was away...any ideas?

There's probably going to be an issues related SAC near the end of unit 3 from what I recall (well, that's what I had to do at least). Personally I don't think it's worth the effort though. Daily trips to clipping newspapers gathers just as much info as does a 5 second Google search. However, all I did was use the ECHO site to gather all of my research, and if your school has access to that, that SAC will be a breeze. Nevertheless, Google obviously still suffices otherwise.

It's just a site with summaries of current issues. If your school hasn't told you about it, I'll assume they haven't subscribed so don't worry.

We did an issues sac at the end of Unit Four (so that's far far away). It's probably a waste of time to cut up newspaper articles but being aware of things that are going on might be worth it because in bio the examples used are sometimes things that were recently in the news for some reason or other....but that doesn't mean you have to do this, it might just give you a bit of background knowledge
