How did everyone go, I think the results came out about three days ago to school chem deps.

AND, did anyone also do the ICAS Science competition (results came out about 5 days ago). Just wondering what the cut-off for HD was in the yr12 competition. Thanks

Thushan, I'd be very (very very etc.) surprised if you did not get a plaque, considering I got 21 correct, another person at my school got 20 correct, and we both got high distinctions. Not quite sure what percentage of people get high distinctions and plaques though.

Comparing this year's paper with last year's, it appears last year's paper was significantly easier. In particular, this year 71% got the second easiest question correct. Last year, there were 16 questions answered by a higher percentage of people.

Of course, congratulations pi and appianway's youngest sister on the excellent scores also!

Yeah, this year's paper was hard. There was a question that even Roger Slade (teacher at my school, writes checkpoints) couldn't get.
