Question about exams

Say that there is a question worth 2 marks with two writing lines provided and I need to fit the end of my sentence under the second line. If we run out of room do we have to keep writing in the extra response area, or can we quickly write a few words under the line?

You should definitely feel free to write under the line if there is enough room to write reasonably neatly. The assessors prefer it too because they don't have to waste time finding the rest of the answer at the back. In the past, I have created up to three extra lines!

Sweet! As long as its not some unwritten rule it looks like I'm all good.
