Can coordinators deny you the opportunity to do a particular subject?

I want to do specialist maths in year 12, and I'm not too sure if the coordinators will let me when I have my course approval interviews at the end of next month.

HELL NO
you waltz right in there, you slap your coordinator across the cheek and say
LISTEN HERE,
these are the subjects i'm doing and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it
Then spit on his/her shoes and continue on living your life
