Like i understand you don't get into your course, but could you take an extra math subjects while doing your desired course and hence satisfying that pre-req?
I'm sure there are ways around them.
I really worried about getting under 25 in methods and would love to have some sort of back plan in case everything goes to shit.
Will i have to spend a whole year doing the math uni and then try transfer into commerce? or can I just take the math unit alongside with my degree?
I've seen this happen a fair few times and the short answer is no.
If you dont have the prerequisite, you don't get in, for almost all cases.
You can do something at another uni and take up their version of methods, at monash its MTH1010.
However, commerce seems like a fairly math heavy degree, i know its painful and people dont want to think about things like this but you have to ask yourself "Is this really for me?". Not to say you can't make a dramatic turn around but i thought i could do something like that and i've seen so many other people as well. The math won't stop in a commerce degree, if you didn't like methods the first time around, the 2nd time around won't be all that much more of a fun experience. Same to all the math to come after that. Really, again, you have to assess if this is something you want to do to yourself.
The uni version of VCE subjects is often heavily compressed and very dense, it will be harder than in vce.
Not to discourage you of course, if it is what you really want then by all means go for it!
However, if you dont like math or some other similar reason like that, in commerce, the math will keep coming to a certain degree, you just have to know what you're getting yourself into.
