Applying Kotters Theory

I know this is late and whatever BUT

I know Kotters Theory, but I have trouble applying it.

I'm studying Apple and I know Apple fairly well, so is there anyone who could apply Kotter for me to a significant change within Apple?

e.g. Tim Cook taking over from Steve Jobs,
Introduction of iPod and iTunes to revolutionise the Music industry
A decline in desktop and laptops through tablet and iPad technology.

Thanks heaps!

Pretty crappy examples if you ask me if you want to be an apple fanboy go ahead.
But far easier examples are social responsibility and ethical issues changed with cadbury to fairtrade suppliers for their chocolate
or technological change at ford/aus post

It's just that I've been studying Apple so I know it, not that I'm obsessed with it.
Like I know their profit margins, their social and ethical responsibility and management styles and skills used. Stuff like that.

Merger between SPC and Ardmona is decent as well.

Well I'm doing Toyota becoming environmentally sustainable cause that's what I learnt in class.

I wouldn't say the bottom two are changes within the organisation, the top one is but it would be difficult to apply Kotter's to it because it is the management that is changing and they are usually leading the change process, if that makes sense.

Like onoff312 said, an easy one to do with no knowledge would probably be Cadbury switching to fair trade suppilers

Thanks.

I think i've got it down pat with Jobs' return to Apple and being reinstated as CEO in 1997, which he drastically changed in order to bring Apple into profit.

As long as you know what you're doing, thats great! It's a little hard for us to say cause we haven't all studied Apple in depth like you have :)
