It's offered as a Level 1 breadth subject for BSc. I was wondering if anyone here has done it... It appears it doesn't take the whole semester to complete or does it?

From Handbook:

Quote
One-week block in July. Students are required to undertake some reading prior to attending the block and complete a major assignment following the block. Prior to the one-week block, students receive a printed subject guide, subject notes, a reader and a practical book. The examination is held on the last afternoon of the one-week block, and the assignment is due three weeks after the one-week block

My friend who does Science was telling me about this and how he was going to do it. But is it only available to people doing BSc?

Nah. Its available to everyone as a breadth option.
It appears to be easy......for a 12.5 point subject.

Look at it this way:

Assessment: Examination (3-hour, 40%), assignment (4000 words, 40%), practical reports (20%).

And it only lasts 3 weeks? Its like 1 less subject to do the rest of semester....

4000 words isn't crazy long if you're prepared for it (i.e. you probably shouldn't start writing it the night before it is due).

Hence why it would be a bad subject for me...

I would consider it if I didn't hate wine with a passion, I heard theres quite abit of tasting involved.
