Dark Elf, one-handed sword and Destruction magic.

I also object to how bad the elves seem to look in this game. Or maybe it's just my character. I tried for like, half an hour, to make her attractive, and then gave up because she just looked terrible anyway. She's gonna be forever alone, and that Steam achievement for marriage will be forever out of my reach.

So with the prospect of three months of freedom and access to my brother's epic newly-built gaming machine, I asked my brother what games he has and what games I might like. He told me I might like Skyrim. All I've heard about it is that it's a single player RPG with a very detailed/well-built world. Recommendations?

Play it.
its a good game, pretty addictive kind of.
level 43 khajiit, duel wielding daggers with 100 in enchanting, smithing, and sneaking, all in 3days. Working on heavy armour and one handed weapons at the moment.
See what it's done to me!

Neither have I at 65 hours. I just want to explore the whole world first, which of coarse means NO fast travel (at least not for a while). I don't want to finish the main quest too quickly and, in a way, waste it.

Wood-elf marksman is what I'm playing as, although I'm not really specialising in the first play-through, as in I'll do all the mage guild quests despite not using any form of magic. On later play-throughs (yes, I am planning on playing this >5 times over the next few years) I will go back to role-playing "properly".

So good.

I'm playing as an Imperial using a one handed weapon in one hand and destruction/restoration magic in the other. If I were to play another character I'd probably try the archery/stealth route :)

Going on holiday soon, not sure how I'll survive ~ a month without my Xbox + Skyrim :(... hahaha, nah I'll live :)

@funkyducky: There's so so much to do without even thinking about the main quest, the 3 months to play it would definitely suit it ;) That description is pretty accurate though.  Definitely get it if you're into that kind of RPG! :)
