Yep, you're right, I got that wrong the first time around.

The range should be , because the function is the negative square root of some function (cubic) which has a range of all real values, so:

* while the cubic is less than zero, it will not be accepted (not part of the domain)
* while the cubic ranges from zero to infinity, the square root simply takes the negative square root of these values to give

Make much sense? The domain will be a bit harder to find (actually need to do some maths), but since you've got the cubic in intercept form, it's really easy to see when the cubic will be below zero, and hence, what the implied domain of the function is.
