My sig is ruined :(
Couldn't you use the LaTeX generator -> http://www.codecogs.com/latex/eqneditor.php to create the image, then up it somewhere and insert that into the sig? It should work for now until LaTeX is fixed.

Good idea but... Only allowed one animated image in sig or two static images :( Thanks for the thought though!

I'll just wait it out :)

When did that come in? I used to have the animated F1 userbar for 2010 and then a static userbar for 2011.

EDIT: I removed it because I needed more text.

Re:LaTeX, something like this will be nice: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=349706.0 (yes, the links are dead. but by the sounds of it, it probably won't be overly difficult to implement)

jsMath: http://www.math.union.edu/~dpvc/jsMath/
MathJax: http://www.mathjax.org/

TeX rendering is done on the client side, so you don't need any cgi.

Did we have that mimetex mod installed when we first moved to SMF 2.0? I guess this is a weak complaint, but that font looked quite rubbish :/ I think it had some missing functionality as well. I do remember it not being able to render "x^\frac{1}{2}" properly (giving x12 instead of x1/2.

The jsMath website says something about the client to have the TeX fonts on their computer - though I'm not sure what their default fonts looks like.

MathJax looks nice though :P It seems to support a fair few browsers, so compatibility shouldn't be a big issue.

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with a thread I made in Buy/Sell. I attached images of the books I'm selling, then saved the post, and now when I view the thread, I get a blank page. If I copy/paste the link into an incognito window (ie. not logged in as funkyducky), I can see the thread just fine, although the images aren't attached, so my post hasn't updated. This means I can't reply to people who want to buy my books? Help? Also, FYI I'm going to make a new thread for it so please don't lock it for doubling up. Thanks.

Seems the attachments didn't upload correctly. I fixed the post by removing the attachments... But I'm not exactly sure why they failed. I did some testing... But I couldn't replicate it. =/ I tweaked the attachment settings a bit... So we'll see how it goes.

Well the LaTeX has died now:

Fixed. Although I'm still using a public server temporarily... I'll be putting it directly on our server but I didn't want LaTeX to be down for too long.
