As far as adding articles, like what types to find, basically anything relating to language (esp australian english) is good. Topics I found that were often in the papers included:
* Dysphemisms, or swearing in some cases (a type of dysphemism) from high profile people, and you discuss what the effect of it is for example, tony abbot once said something insensitive about an australian soldier's death (i think it was something like that), and i kind of described how it could potentially lose many of his supporters (but in saying that, there are probably like 4 people supporting him anyway lol)
* Language & Culture, for example prescriptivists (those who highly favour standard english, and find anything that drifts from this to be bad) against ethnolects, but you can talk about both sides here, e.g. ethnolects are good because they can display their (non-standard) cultural heritage, but it can also be perceived as uneducated, since standard english is the most 'prestigious' form of english, but non-standard forms can also have prestige with their marker of groups function.
* Slang e.g. Julia Gillard, and how it can possibly diminish her 'authorative role' but how it can reflect her growing up etc. once again marker of groups.
It's also important that your articles are not outdated, i think anywhere back to mid 2010 is far enough.
