Do you guys reckon it's better to go to a medentry seminar now during these holidays or closer to the UMAT?
there's one at my school in april holidays, is this a better option than doing it now?

Best to try for both (if they're different seminars).
But from what I heard, MHS seminars are really good.

I don't think it matters too much. The seminar doesn't teach all that much relative to how much you learn yourself. I'd just get it out of the way to avoid the whole 'I'll start studying after the seminar' mentality.

do one now,
cause it wont interrupt with exam prep for midyears and what not

Lecture is alright, it forces you to do one full exam. That's what I got out of it :)

is that all you got out of it :S?
If somehow i manage to get medentry material e.g. practice exams that are online etc. is it worth paying $500 basically solely for the lecture?

Well, he gives you tips and stuff too, and it is interesting to see how other people your age think when answering questions (esp. section 3). tbh, the lecture began my med prep, I was really lazy before it, and it forced me to do something about it.

the lecture is ok, but you may or may not remember the advice later on. If you want, consider the distance ed package which is cheaper, just online resources sans lecture.

I thought the lecture was a waste of time and money personally.

I personally enjoyed the lecture, picked up a few useful tips which helped me, in S1 and S3, the S2 part of the seminar was a waste of time, so was the whole interviews part of it

Waste of money, everything in the lecture can be read on the LMS.
Just buy the online package and don't waste your time.
