I'm planning on attending the YEAR 11 TSFX lectures for 2 subjects out of these 3;
  • Chemistry
    Physics
    Maths Methods

Which 2 out of those would you recommend for unit ?
2012: Global Politics 43 -> 45
2013: English  Chemistry Methods Specialist Physics
2014: Commerce/Law @ Monash University

Chem and Physics.

Methods @ TSFX isn't great.

I second this. Just be aware that one of the chem lecturers (Irena) is pretty bad too. The physics lectures are great though :D

She does Methods too. Stay well away from her and ask for Sarah for Chem ;)

Haha, yeah! I forgot that's the reason I never went for methods and/or used the Heinemann methods text :D

So if I did Physics and Chemistry at TSFX, and left out Methods, wouldn't that decrease my potential in methods?
Also are the masterclasses worthy of going in general?

As someone who went to Methods and Physics, I'd say it's not worth your while. For Physics and Sciences yes, definitely, but for everything else I strongly recommend against them. Technically you'd be 'decreasing' your 'potential' but you can use your time differently rather than sit in a class and watch a teacher rush through a set number of questions in each two-hour session.

Thirded. Chem, seemed to have been alright. Physics, was not as good, but still better than Methods.

Am taking in students for CHEMISTRY and MATHS METHODS tuition for 2014 as well as first year chemistry. If interested, pm me. Flexible with location.
