if you work efficiently and actually understand chem you'll do well, most likely to better and enjoy it more.
I put a fair bit of work into italian (i thought i would get at least 35 raw) and i performed incredibly bad, and my chem mark was a lot higher...

But ultimately, do what you will enjoy
