Biology workload?

Does biology have a big workload? What about in comparison to chemistry or specialist maths? I know it requires quite a lot of memorization, but how many hours per night is necessary for a score of 45+? Also, should this be marked up more than 1 mark, as i have heard that it requires tonnes of effort for merely a mark up of 1?

Spesh and chem both have higher workloads. However, the workload depends on how much YOU want to work for a 45+, there is no 45+ formula in terms of hours.

I know it requires quite a lot of memorization

Source?

In my opinion, I don't think so. Its more adapting info that pure memorisation.

Also, should this be marked up more than 1 mark, as i have heard that it requires tonnes of effort for merely a mark up of 1?

No. It only requires "tonnes of effort" if you want an amazing score, if not an amazing score but only a decent score (ie. 35-42), then it doesn't require "tonnes of work" at all lol.

Not really, unless you want a good score above the 40s, it requires a lot of hardwork srsly! Well, everyone has different ways of dealing with bio, so it doesn't mean that if you study 5hrs a day, then you will be better than your peers which requires only 1hr of bio. Well, i think its not a hard subject so it's worth doing it even though it scales 1 or less. And memorizing all the suff doesn't work for bio(just only some need to be memorized) because I just memorized the whole textbook and all the notes for my first sac and now Im really worried about it cos I don't really understand the work and obviously don't know how to appply my knowledge to the sac..

As a certain teacher says at my school:

"Memorising will only get you the B+s. Applying the knowledge will get you the A+s!"

So yeah I would lean more towards answering questions than trying to memorise everything.

I got 44 scaled '11. Memorisation was extremely important. If you rely on applying the knowledge, you'll struggle when faced with definitions and lose easy marks because in exam stress you quickly forget things.

Specialist maths has a higher workload than Biology.  Math methods has a higher workload than Biology.
