Hi guyss,
just wondering came across a question asking why is the separaton of power importnat?
is this because it ensures the effective operatrion of our system, by saying that three of these powers should be held by different bodies, and must be kept separaton, so that no one body has absolute power, and no one body can interfere in the operations of any other branch?

'Checks and balances' is a very important key term you need to include in a response.

To keep the three arms of power seperate, executive, judicial and legislative. They can keep check on each other and the judicial power can make sure that the legislative and executive power are not going out of their jurisdiction. Something along those lines I would imagine...
