we're having our upcoming sac 3 soon and personally i think the questions my bio teacher gave us are so stupid (frustrating)

can anyone please help?

What happens to your baseline breathing rate when you think about breathing?

i think it depends really because personally, when i think about myself breathing, i become more conscious of itand make sure that i breathe more..but idk how to make that into biological terms... :/

all help will be much appreciated !

straaaange question.   Maybe you could talk about it losing its natural rhythm because you are putting some conscious control over it.  I agree - I tend to breathe heavier when I am thinking about it.  No idea how you will put it scientificcaly though.

wow.....this is the most strangest question i have ever seen.
yes i agree when i think about breathing i tend to breath heavier as well.

Though i would explain it like this:
Just like how driving has developed into an automatic process for old people. From the moment we are born, over time the process of breathing will turn into an automatic process for us. But if concentration were to suddenly be applied, this automatic process will be turned into a manuel process in which we have to control it ourselves.
So lets say that before applying concentration, our breating rate was slow and quiet but once we apply concentration,  our breathing rate will generally become a little more faster and louder because we dont know how our body was doing it before. And even if we were to try and mimic our breathing rate while it was an automatic process, it will start to become harder to breath over time.

so thats pretty much how i would explain it, if it were a question i were to come across in a test,SAC or exam (which i pray to god wont) it probably wont we so long though.

- hope i helped  ;D

I achieved B overall..what is the percentage for B+, B?
Might ended up with mid 30s if B in exam and Sacs
