Hi,
I am thinking about doing the Chemistry Advance classes at Breakthrough Education with Kevin.

Is the class really good?

What study score did you guys get if you took the class?

Thanks.

Ok, let me put in my two cents worth. I went to Breakthrough for yr 11 chem in glen waverly and to be honest, i didnt enjoy it at all. Classes where jam packed with kids talking over kevin. Each lesson, kevin would dictate brief notes and give you questions to solve, no notes. The questions he asks you are not at all tough and some kids couldnt do it even though they started earlier than me. During my tuition there for 4 weeks, I found it have no impact on my marks and understanding so I left. Although i have been hearing good stuff about breakthrough, dont go to the one in glenny, maybe try the one in bawlyn.

What about maths subjects?
Was planning to go to the one in Balwyn since it's nearer.

I did not like Breakthrough Education. The head tutor/owner Kevin seemed very money orientated, and was often very lazy. That's if you get him too. I didn't have him one turn, and the tutors he hires come to class unprepared, and just try ramble on, and still charge however much Kevin charges (it is quite dear, isnt it $40-45+ a week?)

According to a friend, their charges massively increased to 1.7k for two subjects a term, which in my opinion is over priced considering it's a class as well.

he locks you in for all these packages too, such as a compulsory motivational lecture, which he does charge you for, and all these random, unnecessary, yet compulsory events that you do need to pay for.

Just giving my point of view... I've been going to the one in Glen since February and he seems lazy but if you understand what he says then he's actually a pretty good teacher. His notes have helped me but the price is too expensive...

Yeah you can actually get out of those. I got out on the first one :)
