NMR for esters

whats the best way to differentiate between methyl ethanoate and ethyl methonate and other such esters. I'm very good with other compounds but not with esters.

The best way would probably be the fingerprint region for IR and UV visibile. Match it up to a database, I don't think there's any other way. :/

Well a clear sign (for proton NMR) would be 2 peaks as opposed to 3, as ethyl methanoate has 3 different chemical environments, whereas methyl ethanoate has 2.
