Firstly, on behalf of all staff at ATARNotes, congratulations to those who received a first round offer. It's great to see all this excitement and joy flooding the forums. Can there be a better way to start the year? We wish you all the very best in your future endeavours and hope that you can stay active on the forums to provide assistance and give back to the community.
Just a few extra things I would like to add to the
FAQ:
Accepting the offerThis is not done on VTAC as VTAC just acts as a liaison. Instead, you will receive an enrolment package as outlined in the FAQ. The package may contain course information, a congratulations letter, welcome letter, account details, ID/Library barcode and of course, enrolment instructions.
My advice would be to wait for the package to arrive, see what's in it, read the instructions and then go from there. I know many of you are absolutely ecstatic about receiving an offer but there isn't a real rush to accept your offer at this stage. You have many days to accept your offer so don't worry.
Most importantly, if there's any mistake in your enrolment process it may be a real pain to get it fixed because this is a peak period in enrolment so I fear tantrums and other objects may be thrown.
Overseas right now?The FAQ should have addressed this, but HarveyD raised an issue of ID cards and compulsory sessions. I've answered this question
here.
But importantly, contact the institution as soon as possible and ask if they allow proxy enrolment. If they don't and I anticipate a few institutions won't as I said in the FAQ, ask if they have made any arrangements for you when you return.
2012 Clearly-In'sFor those who don't know, Clearly-Ins are released at the same time as Round 1 offers. So that means they are out now.
