So it was due 5 days ago and I completely forgot. I know, I'm an idiot, so have I already failed this subject?

It's supposed to be a hurdle requirement, I can still attempt it, but it says it was due in 5 days ago, what do I do?

If it is a hurdle and you cannot get an extension I would suggest withdrawing from the subject. You are still within the census date andnwill not be penalised academically or financially if you withdraw before then. It wont even be on uour transcript or official records when you graduate.

When is the census date? And are you sure I have failed this subject simply for missing one ILT?

Hmmm, I wonder if you can withdraw and then re-enrol in it? :P

But yeah, my advice would be to play it safe, withdraw, take another subject and take Chem 1 next semester.

I dont know as I am not a science student. Just ask yiur tutor or course co ordinator for clarification. An the census date for sem 2 is aug 31 i believe, but check on the uni website. It will tell you when you can withdraw from a subject without academic or financial penalty.

I did it last semester because i found a semi full time job after 3 weeks back at uni and had to cut down on one class.

Lol m, pretty sure enrolling deadline has passed already. P sure its only available for the first two weeks of the semester. Probably precisely to stop clever people like you from taking advantage of the system :P

Ask the tutor/co-ordinator if you can make it up. I thought they would just not release your grade until you did the ilts but I could just be remembering incorrectly. If they say you will fail, try and withdraw.

If we fail an ILT it doesn't matter right?

I redid the first one anyway with 8/10 the second time before it was due..

Lol I highly doubt you would have automatically failed the subject simply because you didn't do the first ILT >_> Otherwise like half the subject would have failed already.

I'm pretty sure that ILTs are hurdle requirements only insofar that you "just need to do them" to get the 5% (as opposed to passing them).

Just email your tutor and find out, simplest answer. Definitely don't go doing anything ridiculous and rash like withdrawing from the subject...

Yeah I emailed them and the reply was that as long as the ILT was still open I could complete it and my grade wouldn't be affected :)
