hi im planning to study the bachelor of oral health at melbourne uni and i just wanted to know if the job outlook for this career is good? thankyou :)

Very good. The oral health therapist scope of practice has increased somewhat over the years, and there is convincing research that supports a further expansion of their role. Demand for their services is going to increase in aged residential care settings over the next 10-20 years and it seems governments are finally starting to fund preventative care - which OHTs are well-placed to provide.

In short - yes, job outlook looks very good.

I spoke to/listened to an oral health student (final year I think) from UoM a couple of months ago and she was quite optimistic about her ability to get a job and the job experience she'd already had
