Make sure that you understand all the physics concepts as this is vitally important since there's quite a high chance that you will be presented with explain questions on the exam.
Make sure that you also express your worded answers very clearly...ALWAYS refer your answers back to the question asked..make sure that you don't ramble or include irrelevant information in ur answers as there is a likely chance u will get lost with providing a clear answer.
Also, simple algebra is required such as substitution and transposition.
Make sure that you do as many practice exam questions as you can, I did checkpoints, Neap and physics A+ exams..these truly helped me to get an A+ on my exam.

With regards to the formula sheet you can take with you to the exam, I believe including your own set of formulas is important as the formula sheet provided to you with the exam is very broad and doesn't contain all the required formulas. Also, including some answers to explain questions helped a lot too.

Good Luck :D
