Hey guys, are there any early programs/lectures for English language 3/4?
Are they worth going to and what would you recommend?
I've heard TSSM are doing one but I'm not too sure and wondering if there are any others...

I did TSSM end of year revision lecture because it just happened to be in Bendigo for a relatively low price, and it was good for clarifying that I knew what I was doing etc, but I can't really see how much advanced preparation you can do for Lang.. Just read through some notes and start looking for original language examples, take notice of any new slang your friends start using :)

Hi guys,
When I did lang in 2010 I did lots of pre-reading from books by linguists like Kate Burridge and Don Watson for quotes when writing essays. Other best advice is to revise your metalanguage - most schools spend the first 2-3 weeks going through each subsystem and knowledge needed for the rest of the course.
2010: English Language (45), Maths Methods (43), Chemistry (42), Specialist Maths (39)
