is the academic advice day compulsory?

Do they mark attendance?

Am i missing much (anything i cant find out during O week) if i dont go?

I don't believe it is compulsory and you won't be missing much if you don't go.

They do a roll call, and if you don't go you get detention.




... nothing in uni is really compulsory aside from paying fees and enrolling, so you'll be okay :)
vce: english, methods, spesh, chemistry, physics, geography.

ex admin/mod/partner

Honestly, if you've read the handbook and know stuff like you need 50-75 points of breadth where 25 points of those can be converted back to Sci electives, you don't really need to go to AAD. It's probably still go to go to meet some people, but it wasn't necessary to make it mandatory I reckon.

from this http://aad.unimelb.edu.au/pdfs/Academic-Advice-Day-2012.pdf it says i need to enrol into subjects. wtf does that mean, arnt i just enroling into environments and then during uni choose which breadths or subjects to take?

I went last year and honestly it was kind of a waste of time
