My knowledge of physics is very basic because i did not do it in VCE. Should i take physics 1 (fundamentals) or just physics 1?

Which level of physics would i need to know for GAMSAT?
2011: Arabic [31] IT Applications [36]
2012: english[28] Chemistry[31] methods[39] Spesh [35] Biology:[42]

ATAR 2012: 92.90

2013-2016: BSc at UoM

If you haven't done year 12 physics you need to take fundamentals.

Would that be enough for GAMSAT?

Yerh would physics fundamentals be enough to cover the physics component on the GAMSAT?

I do not know of the course because I did Physics 2, but if it is equivalent to VCE then it should cover it well. ACER doesn't really tell you the topics, but does say that VCE Physics is at the level that is required.
2014: Microbiology/Immunology Major.

Multiple times: pi, Russ, stonecold, TT.

Can you do any physics subjects as a breath for science?

No, all Physics subjects are Science (or BMed) subjects and therefore cannot be taken as breadth.

But make sure you remember...you don't have to take a breadth every semester!  You only need four.  You can do more than 100 points at first year if you want to replace a breadth with Physics to fit it in, you just can't do more than 125 points at Level 1.

2014: BSci Hons (Microbiology/Immunology) at UoM
2015+: PhD (Immunology) at UoM

Yes, as long as you're prepared to miss out on subjects taking your minimum breadths in other years.
You can take a breadth every semester if you want to but you don't have to - I've only done the minimum of four.

The only rules are that no more than three of the breadth subjects can be Level 1 ie at least one subject must be at Level 2 or Level 3.  But you could take the Level 1 breadth you didn't do this year in your second year if you want to make room for Physics now and think you will have room for it next year.

Here is a quote from the handbook if you're unsure!:

"Students commencing the BSc from 2011 onwards

Successful completion of 300 points comprising:
225 points of science subjects including:
At least 62.5 points at Level 1
At least 62.5 points at Level 2
At least 75 points at Level 3 (including 50 points of a prescribed science major at Level 3)
50 points of breadth subjects including at least 12.5 points at Level 2 or Level 3
25 points (either science subjects or breadth subjects) at Level 1, 2 or 3"
