Hi all
I'm a first year doing Bachelor of Biomed. How do I do Psych as a breadth in first year. On AAD the lecturer said it is possible but i cant do "Mind, Brain and Behaviour". So I'm a bit confused

Also can I do a Level 2 breadth in first year?

Thanks in advance

Hi!  I just got told about this by somebody so I will relate it to you. Only specific psychology subjects are permitted as Biomedicine breadth. Neither of the first year subjects are but a couple of Level 2 subjects can be taken (eg Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology).  The problem is that you cannot take a Level 2 subject until Semester 2 because of progression, that is you must take 50 points at Level 1 before you can enrol at Level 2.  So for your first semester you would not take a Psychology breadth.  In your second semester some psychology subjects wouldn't be available as they don't run both semesters (eg Developmental Psychology) so you could only take an even more limited selection of subjects such as Social Psychology which do run in Semester 2.  They don't tend to have prerequisites though so that's helpful.
