Hey everyone.
So you've probably seen my countless threads over the past year asking about one course, then another and then a different one and yeah, I think you get the pattern. At school today we had to fill out this form as to where we wanted to head career wise and I just went blank, like full on absolutely nothing coming to mind at all. And this scared me a bit because for the first time, I wasn't and aren't really sure of where I'm headed.

My problem this year was that I like too many subjects to fit on my timetable, so i had enough problems choosing subjects for this year alone. But then narrowing that down to courses or fields of study at university level is another story altogether.

So, I guess what I'm trying to get at, is that based on what I'm about to tell you about myself, do any of you have ideas of courses or areas of study I could look into? I'm really strong at English, I really like learning about health, but I'm fairly hopeless at science (which rules out a fair few health things). I want to work with people, probably in a helping or advising role, where teamwork is commonplace, but so is individual work. I like to talk to people, write things, communicate.

Over the past year I've been thinking about teaching, social work, occupational therapy, speech pathology and health promotion  :)

Thanks for any suggestions!

Social work and occupational therapy immediately springs to mind, but also you might like to check out things like population health and epidemiology which isn't necessarily very science-y (it is statsy though) but would allow you to study things like preventative health and large-scale health policy (not so much one-on-one work though). Some unis also offer disability studies, which would probably relate too and is super interesting. Also, if you are interested in health, you may find that you aren't that bad at science really, or that you could work at getting better at it. You can always do something like biology as an elective in an arts degree or similar to see if you like it.

One of my interests is Epidemiology and Public Health!

It's honestly a great discipline, albeit many people find it boring. I think it's great looking at health from a bird's eye view though!
