Urban Environments as a breadth subject

Just wondering has anyone done Urban Environments as a core of the Bachelor of Environments or as breadth subject, who could give me their opinions on the subject. It is the right subject, if I'm interested in transport planning, urban renewal, high density housing developments, urban planning etc. I like to design cities and towns of some sorts.  Thanks
