General Timetabling Questions

So I'm looking at drafting my timetable before RMIT's timetabling system comes up, just wondering if you could help me with a few questions that I had. :)
  • Which of the following are compulsory (generally) to attend? Lectures, Tutorials, Labs, Pass, T/L(Tute/Lab)
  • Do you find certain combinations particularly draining? I'd imagine sitting down to 3 lecturers/tutorials/labs in a row would be very tiring, so when timetabling do you personally try avoid bunching them together?
  • Say you have a lecture that ends at 1:30 and a tutorial that begins at 1:30, should we try and not bunch those two up together? Are Professors/Tutors flexible on this?
  • Do you personally tend to find physically sitting in the lectures to be more effective interms of learning than watching any recorded lectures?
  • Did you have any additional advice for JAFFY's first timetable?
Thank you! I'll probably come across others soon enough though
