How should I conclude my English oral?
It's on gun tragedies in America and how Australian can learn from these unfortunate events.

I'll let you figure your one out, but I've got something relevant to say.

A girl in my year (who got 49 in English) did her presentation on abortion and argued that it was murder and should be prohibited. She ended her presentation with one hell of a bang. She went and found a grotesque picture of the result of a third trimester abortion from the internet and printed it out in all of its vivid detail. She kept it hidden for her whole presentation, and then at the very end, she dictated "You can't look at this and tell me it's not murder" and held up the picture of the scramble.

Needless to say she received full marks for her orals.

inb4 influx of people copy this, but yeah you do want to go out with a "bang" if you can.

In the interests of this forum, this thread deserves a bump. No doubt a whole bunch of students would be wondering about this right now. It almost dropped off the page, rezing what I believe can be good discussion.

Woah. That's messed up.

IMO, you don't need props or anything fancy, your words should speak for themselves and you don't need to shock people into agreeing with you (that's very ACA). Do make your conclusion special. I think it's good if you can start your intro with a little anecdote or something and then link back to the anecdote at the end, shedding new light on it. Look up David Foster Wallace's 'this is water' speech if you want a good example.

Can't really recall how I ended my Oral, but it was something similar to the following:

Speed is the major factor of death in road crashes.
Speed cameras reduce the speed on Victoria’s streets.
Speed cameras make our roads safer.
Speed cameras save lives.
