So true. After going to an all boys school, I must say, joining the Arts clubs and societies at university is like a dream come true for me.

I'd say a lot of the staff at MHS are particularly suited towards teaching boys, if you chucked a bunch of girls in the class they wouldn't excel as much as they do.

When I say that single sex is a disadvantage, there are still plenty of mhs boys that are doing fine socially/becoming leaders in social groups (see Monash/Melb comm societies, Monash Law, Australasian Assoc etc., Monash MedSoc), it's just that there are a select few that seem like they're destined to become nothing special (despite being smart) due to their inability to communicate confidently. That's what pisses me off the most, wasted potential

but then and again, ability to communicate and having a certain sense of charisma is, in itself, a gift and a potential, so i guess, if they don't have it then they don't have it
