Tell yourself to do work for 30min, then give yourself reinforcement (like a chocolate). Repeat.

After about a week, extend the time to 1hr before giving yourself the reinforcement. Repeat.

Also, plan what you're going to do for those 30min clearly before you start. Tell a parent you're going to complete A, B, C and then get them to ask you whether you have completed it or not at the end of 30min.

Plan when your breaks are going to be- and make sure they're short and frequent.
Good luck :)

Make sure to do some exercise when you're not studying! (an hour a day is good!)

Keep thinking about what goal you want to achieve at the end of all this.
The mere thought of that will motivate and inspire you to get work done  :)

look the more you keep thinking about it the harder its going to be,  this happened to me last year. Sometimes i couldnt get myself to study and just kept thinking about it, but i would force myself to study. Trust me when you hold the pen or start studying for a couple of minutes, the momentum will keep going. Also i saw your ATAR aim- 98.95, do you believe you can achieve that score without doing the hard work??

here watch this !!

Totally agree!! overtime this will become a routine!

Now get of AN/fb/youtube and finish those questions/essays/assignments  !!!  :)

Start with your ultimate goal - an ATAR of >= 98.95

Now you need to break down your goal into a series of milestones / objectives (e.g. upcoming SACs, taking notes for each area of study, etc.).

You should never sit down to "study". You should allocate your time to achieve X. This way, you actually notice reasonable progress.

If none of the above work, think that you you'd rather be sitting on your butt doing work now than sitting down on your bum on the side of Flinders St asking randoms for money in 10 years time.
