Hi was wondering if it's possible to transfer into 2nd year electrical and computer systems engineering at Monash University after completing 1st year electrical and electronics Engineering at RMIT?

Is there a certain GPA required? Are all my subjects credited?  Is the course better at Monash ? Is it really competitive?

Any thoughts appreciated

Thanks

The only real way to tell is contact monash and ask. In the end, no matter what we tell you, all things like this are up to their discretion.

There most definitely would be a certain GPA required, we cant say what it is. As a general rule, for transferring between single degrees *inside* Monash, you need 60, if you're already a monash student too. Transfers from the outside usually sit at ~70 or above (depends on the case).

No idea about credit, again, it's up to them. Likewise, why would it matter if its competitive, theres no scaling or anything, its not a competition anymore.

TL;DR Contact Monash

You also may want to consider your reasons for transfering, you may end up liking it at RMIT. As far as i know engineers are in short supply in many disciplines so you shouldn't have a hard time getting a job.
